Our Faith
We, the Members of The Catholic Episcopal Church, proclaim our Faith in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
and embrace the following beliefs as the foundation of our Christian life:
⦁ We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and of everything visible and invisible.
⦁ We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, born of the Father before all ages: God from God, Light from Light,
True God from True God, begotten, not created, of the same nature as the Father, by whom all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit
He was incarnate of Mary, the Virgin, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered and was buried. On the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven, where he is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
⦁ We believe in the Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he receives the same worship and glory, and who spoke through the prophets.
⦁ We believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
⦁ We commit ourselves to live according to the teachings of The Christ and to follow the example of the Saints.
We strive to live in love, justice and mercy, serving those in need and promoting peace and reconciliation in the world.
⦁ We accept the authority of the Holy Scriptures, Apostolic Tradition and the
Sacraments of the Church as means of Grace and Spiritual Growth.
⦁ We celebrate the Eucharist as the centre of our community life, recognising
the real presence of Christ in the Sacrament and a Symbol of Unity with all Believers.
⦁ We honour the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and all the Saints,
seeking their intercession and following their example of Holiness and Devotion.
⦁ We dedicate ourselves to Prayer and the Study of God's Word, to grow in our faith
and to strengthen our relationship with God and with others.
⦁ We commit ourselves to evangelise and witness to our faith, taking the Message of
Christ's Love and Salvation to every corner of the world.
⦁ We are a Non-Hierarchical Church......All Are EQUAL at The Lord's Table
Each person comes to the Assembly with their individual Gifts from God. No One is Greater than Any Other.
As a Church, we strongly oppose any form of Patriarchy, Misogyny, Racism or Homophobia
We believe that ALL people are created in the Image and Likeness of God
and are therefore worthy of Love, Respect and Dignity.
Our Church is a Community that welcomes All People, regardless of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity,
Ethnicity, Language, National Origin or Socio-Economic Status.
We are committed to being a Church where ALL members of the LGBTQIA+ Community are welcomed and loved.
