Catholic Episcopal Church Welcomes our New Auxiliary Bishop-Elect for Scotland

On Saturday 5th September we finalised the Process of Incardination of Fr. Brian M Casey who serves the faithful in Glasgow, Scotland.
The Council of Bishops of Catholic Episcopal Church have agreed to appoint him Auxiliary Bishop for Scotland, serving alongside Bishop Seamus.
His Episcopal Ordination will take place on Saturday 1st May 2027, Feast of St. Joseph The Worker. Time and Location to be announced later.....
Brian was a Parish Minister, serving the faithful of the Church of Scotland for over eleven years before moving to set up Saint Jude's Community in North Glasgow and was received as a Priest in the Old Catholic Apostolic Church in Easter 2025.

Recently, Brian felt a much stronger attraction to our Non-Hierarchical Church, where everyone is equal, and which has no need for a Primate/Archbishop and he reached out seeking further information.
Brian’s ministry to date has always enjoyed quite a public presence in News Media, and has raised many important subjects such as the care of immigrants in Glasgow. He also launched a campaign to commemorate the forgotten victims of the Covid Pandemic.
He was also subject of a popular petition demanding that Church of Scotland reconsider plans to cut ministerial staffing in the Springburn area of Glasgow and to secure his future.
His subsequent departure from that church led to what they termed as an “investigation” into his personal life, which was recently dubiously leaked to a popular tabloid newspaper.
CEC leadership has been made fully aware of the whole story, and can make no further comment as it is currently "Sub Judice".
Bishop-Elect Brian's ministry is focussed on people rather than buildings
He is a Wedding Celebrant and also conducts Funerals, Christenings or other Life Event Services as requested at a location of the person's choice.
He has considerable experience and expertise in Community Justice, working with offending teens and those with addiction and is a Recovery Advocate.
He is also a union Branch Representative for Unite the Union (Faith Workers Branch).
Welcome to Catholic Episcopal Church Brian !
