Welcome Rev. Dr. Scott Peddie

On August 13th Catholic Episcopal Church was delighted to complete the Incardination of

Fr. Scott Peddie as our newest Priest to join our Team of Hope, seeking to serve the marginalised and excluded members of society in Belfast and beyond .

Scott is a well known psychotherapist and through his website, www.scottpeddie.org, founded in 2022, he specialises in online therapy, enabling the client to access therapy at a time, and a setting, convenient for them.

He previously served as Minister of The Moravian Church in Belfast and we later learned that the date of his Incardination was not, in fact, a coincidence in the eyes of The Lord.

August 13th is a particularly memorable date for the faithful of this Church.

"During a Holy Communion service at the Lutheran parish church in Berthelsdorf, in Saxony, the members of the Moravian community experienced a profound moment of spiritual renewal and reconciliation. It was later described like an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which manifested itself in that, as one person observed, “we learned to love one another.”

For this reason, the day is considered the Spiritual “Birthday” of the renewed Unitas Fratrum.

It also has been called the “Moravian Pentecost"
