“✝️ A new commandment I give on to you: Love One Another....

As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.✝️"

(John 13)

These aren't words that one can easily twist into something sinful.

But you can, for example, take the story of Sodom in Genesis 19 and twist it to say that homosexuality 🏳️‍🌈 was the sin of the city's inhabitants, mainly because the first patriarchal English translation of the bible tells us that " the men" and not " the people" of the city sought to rape angelic visitors. We are told that he offered his virginal daughters to the mob of people gathered at his front door. ( Why ...if they were Gay?)

The greatest sin or offense among those earliest people was a refusal to show any hospitality, especially to strangers (which the heavenly visitors had lavishly experienced earlier with Abraham and Sarah in chapter 18.... You will find a similar story in Judges 19 about the Levite and his concubine).

That sin will become known as Sodomy and lawmakers will later use the same name to make it a criminal offence. Although, when it was introduced to the law in the early 16th Century, "

Sodomy included any form of non-procreative acts including masturbation, oral and anal sex".(Alan Freeman)

Much later it was used exclusively to condemn people for the "heinous" crime of loving someone of the same sex.

The priests and the creators of the law back then must have totally ignored the words of the Prophet Ezekiel (16:49)

"Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her children were arrogant, overfed and didn't care about others; they did not help the poor and needy".

(A condemnation which could well describe our contemporary Western Society)

Ezekiel tells us that the society of males and females in Sodom was interested only in a pursuit of self. This wasn't a crowd of homo drag queens clamouring outside Lot's home. They were heterosexuals who cared only about their own desires.

Nothing to do with homosexuality as we know it.

So I guess the author of the attached quote may be right. The antichrist may well influence those in power to take the words of Sacred Scripture and twist them to suit their own agenda, which includes the oppression of minorities, forcing them to feel excluded by their church and peers alike.

It is much easier to follow the crowd like sheep or Lemmings of the old computer games, spewing out homophobic hatred from false teachers than to take "the narrow path" by searching to follow The Master and serve each other in Unconditional Love ❤️.
