Child Protection Policy


Article 1: Commitment to the Safety of Minors
The Catholic Episcopal Church (CEC) is committed to safeguarding the well-being of all children. This includes protecting them from abuse, harm, and neglect.
A safe environment is created through proactive measures, including education, training, and adherence to safeguarding protocols.
Article 2: Code of Conduct for Interaction with Children 
All CEC personnel must behave appropriately with children, avoiding any actions that could be interpreted as harmful, abusive, or exploitative.
Maintain clear boundaries and respect children’s rights and dignity. Ensure that interactions are always respectful and nurturing.

Article 3: Reporting and Response Procedures 
All suspicions or allegations of child abuse must be reported immediately to the safeguarding officer.

The CEC will take prompt action to investigate and address the concerns.
Ensure a swift, fair, and thorough investigation of any allegations. Protect the privacy and rights of all involved parties.
Article 4: Training and Awareness 
The CEC provides regular training for all church personnel on child protection policies,

recognizing signs of abuse, and reporting procedures.
Raise awareness about child protection among the Church community,

including parents and guardians, to ensure a collective effort in safeguarding children.

Vulnerable Adults Protection Policy
 

Article 1: Commitment to Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults 
The CEC is committed to safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable adults.

This includes protecting them from abuse, harm, and neglect.
Create a safe environment for vulnerable adults through education, training, and adherence to safeguarding protocols.
Article 2: Code of Conduct for Interaction with Vulnerable Adults 
All Church personnel must interact with vulnerable adults in a respectful and appropriate manner,

avoiding any actions that could be interpreted as harmful or exploitative.
Maintain clear boundaries and respect the rights and dignity of vulnerable adults.

Ensure that interactions are always supportive and empowering.
Article 3: Reporting and Response Procedures 
All suspicions or allegations of abuse involving vulnerable adults must be reported immediately to the safeguarding officer.

The CEC will take prompt action to investigate and address the concerns.
Ensure a swift, fair, and thorough investigation of any allegations. Protect the privacy and rights of all involved parties.
Article 4: Training and Awareness 
Provide regular training for all Church personnel on the protection policies for vulnerable adults,

recognizing signs of abuse, and reporting procedures.
Raise awareness about the protection of vulnerable adults within the CEC community to ensure a collective effort in safeguarding them.
